"Raisin Parfait" 2006 Anderson Valley Pinot Noir We acquired some super grapes from Roederer Estates’ pre-champagne pressing. Champagne makers pick grapes before the main harvest begins for the rest of the wine varieties, because of the need for lower sugar contents in the special process that sparkling cuvees go through. The Anderson Valley touches the Pacific Ocean near the town of Mendocino and features cool weather similar to Burgundy, traditional home of Pinot Noir. We tied in with our extended French heritage to name this original Janesko piece, Raisin Parfait (fr.) or perfect grapes. Your comments on our selections are appreciated.
